Nuclear Regulatory Commission


The Federal Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) manages matters related to nuclear material and nuclear energy matters.  The commission is composed of five members who serve five year terms, appointed by the President and confirmed by the United States Senate.  One of the members is designated as Chairman. As of October 24, 2007, two of the Commissioner positions are vacant.
